From June 17 to 22, the final (playoff) stage of the “School Basketball League” sports games, held under the patronage of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, took place at the Basketball Hall of the Sports Management Center (Address: 41 Manandyan St., Yerevan). 

The “School Basketball League” games are held in two age groups:
►10–12 years old (grades 5–6)
►13–15 years old (grades 7–9)

The school that took 1st place received a monetary award of 4,000,000 AMD,
2nd place – 2,500,000 AMD,
3rd place – 1,500,000 AMD.

Physical education teachers of the winning schools were also rewarded:
• 1st place – 700,000 AMD
• 2nd place – 500,000 AMD
• 3rd place – 300,000 AMD

The student-athletes from the winning teams received individual cash prizes:
• 1st place (9 students) – 150,000 AMD each
• 2nd place (9 students) – 100,000 AMD each
• 3rd place (9 students) – 75,000 AMD each

A total of 16 teams from each age group competed in the finals.

The “School Basketball League” aims to popularize basketball among students, promote a healthy lifestyle, and identify talented and promising young athletes.
